Parking:

We will have a volunteer responsible for directing cars for where they can park. Please ask families to carpool when possible due to constraints on parking. Our pool is located at the bottom of a steep hill and we prefer to avoid families parking on the hill if possible. We do have a large field, but if it has rained recently or expected to be raining during the meet, we will not be able to use the field for parking.

Seating:

We do have some seating around the pool for spectators. The guest team will set up camp in the field just north of the pool. We have an event counter that will be visible from the field as well as the pool deck in the upstairs balcony area. Please bring tents, chairs and blankets so your team will be more comfortable. We do have a playground in the area that will be roped off. We ask that no one plays on the playground during the swim meet.

Officials:

Each team is responsible to pay $50 to the official for the meet (5:30 PM - 9:00 PM). If the meet were to run past 9:00 PM, each team is responsible for $10/20 minutes past 9 PM. Cash is preferred. If you would like to pay in a different way, please coordinate with our assigned official prior to the meet.

Volunteers:

We follow the league recommendations for volunteers in most cases. Our team is relatively small, so in some cases we combine roles. The league also recommends that you bring your own clipboards, stop watches, pens/pencils, etc, but we have plenty if you prefer to use what we have. We recommend you staff the following volunteers to fulfill the visiting team positions. (**Required Positions)

  • Computer Operator (Should be trained and ideally bring their own computer)
  • Deck Manager (To ensure you kids make it behind the correct blocks at the right time)
  • Master Recorder ** (one from each team is required to ensure a smooth meet)
  • Place Judge ** (one from each team is required)
  • Ribbon Writer (with your ribbons, unless your team does this after the meet concludes)
  • Timers ** (Visiting teams are responsible for providing timers for their 3 lanes. The league recommends having 1 timer and 1 recorder for each lane. At Huntcliff, we do this when possible but combine roles if we are short on volunteers.)
  • Bullpen Managers (This is not required but is recommended for younger age groups. The visiting team's bullpens will be in the field just north of the pool. We recommend bringing tents and blankets to keep your swimmers comfortable.)
