FAQ

Below you will find Frequently Asked Questions and their answers. If you have further questions, feel free to reach out by sending an email to [email protected]

  • How old must my child be to participate in swim team?
    • The maximum age is 18 by June 1st. There is technically no minimum age for a child to participate. The youngest ages group is 6 and under and we have had several 4 year olds participate in the past.  The important thing to consider is if your child feels comfortable in the water and if they are able to safely return to the wall after jumping in.  We would suggest that children who have a fear of the water join our Learn to Swim program to gain more confidence in the water.
  • Does my child have to know all the strokes?
    • Definitely not.  We welcome all skill levels and the coaches will work with your swimmer to learn the different stroke techniques.
  • Does my child have to be able to swim across the whole length of the pool to join?
    • They do not, we welcome all skill levels and the coaches will work with your swimmer to improve their stroke and indurance.
  • My child has camp some weeks and may not be able to attend all practices, is that ok?
    • Absolutely! We understand that summer is a busy time and both yours and yours child's schedule may change week to week. Prior to covid we were able to offer practices both in the mornings as well as a few evenings per week. Your child is welcome to attend as many practices as is feasible.  Just remember the more opportunity they have to attend, the faster they will see improvement.
